Cuppa Terrific
Hanging on a Star
A lavender tea, a bell chime, and a breath that opens into a pink galaxy—this guided reading turns a simple dream into a map for calm, courage, and renewal. We celebrate a midweek Thanksgiving to make space for rest, then ease into a meditation where a feminine celestial outline rises from the third eye, feet still rooted on Earth, and a golden thread draws a sun-like star closer. That image becomes our hinge: expansion without losing our grounding, wonder without the panic, faith expressed through the humble act of asking for help.
From there, we unpack the symbols with practical tools. Tarot isn’t a crystal ball here—it’s a framework for meaning. The World supports the moment with wholeness and completion, reflecting life transitions like retirement and the start of this podcast dream. The Star brings tenderness after turmoil, inviting mental clarity, grace, and the kind of hope that feels earned. The Sun points us forward toward warmth, abundance, and shared joy, a reminder that seasons turn and light returns. Along the way we walk through the “clairs” as extensions of everyday sensing, re-centering intuition as a skill anyone can nurture.
If you’ve felt the weight of recent years, this conversation offers a gentle reset. We explore grounding practices, the role of color and space in dream language, and the simple wisdom of pulleys—tools, friends, and rituals that lift what we can’t raise alone. Come breathe, reflect, and carry a little sunlight back into your day. If the message speaks to you, subscribe, share the episode with a friend who needs some brightness, and leave a review to tell us which symbol or card—World, Star, or Sun—resonates most.

Cuppa Terrific Podcast
Dream analysis, storytelling, and self-therapy reflections every Thursday
Until next time, may all your cups overflow.
Hi folks. Welcome to another episode of Cuppa Terrific. And I hope that you are all having a wonderful Thanksgiving right now. My family did something a little interesting. We decided that this year we were going to celebrate on Wednesday. And today we've um just kind of relaxed and enjoyed each other's company and played games. I think this was a cool move. I've never done this before. Um, but it was kind of neat just being able to relax on Thanksgiving rather than the hustle and bustle thereof. Um but yeah, today I am actually doing something kind of different for the podcast. Um I wanted to re-release another episode that I had recorded back in 2022. And this was this was an episode that I recorded, like I said, back in 2022. This was a little younger version of myself who was a little less experienced, but I'm so grateful to have lived as this person because this was a dream that I really loved, and remembering it brought back all these beautiful images and feelings, which I am really grateful for having experienced, and I really needed to hear it all over again. It's really good stuff, and I thought I should share it with you too. Um finally, I wanted to just say that the use of tarot cards in my analysis is really helpful whenever I'm looking for structure and meaning. Sometimes I can't rely on just symbols or to find exactly what I mean in a book, or um, I can't even like write exactly what I experienced in a dream. So sometimes there is no deep meaning in a dream, but it doesn't make the dream any less interesting to analyze. And the tarot is a great place for me to go to kind of analyze symbols and just use my intuition to run free to help me connect things in my dream that maybe I didn't think about before. And I just wanted to give you a heads up. Moving into this dream, it's a little bit different than the dreams that I've read before. Um, this dream is presented as a reading, and this reading will be given to you as a meditation. So I advise you to be in a place where you can sit calmly, get yourself a cup of something beforehand, and then go ahead and sit down and relax, and maybe put some headphones on, or get yourself in a nice, cozy, calm space beforehand. Um, before I get into the reading, and then you're gonna hear the bell chime, and that way you can really take advantage of the reading as kind of like a mini meditation session all of your own. Okay, and with that, folks, please enjoy today's session. I hope that you really enjoy it. And for today's adventure, what fills my cup-up is a lovely lavender tea. The dream I'm analyzing for this episode is very different from last week's. So if you listen to that, uh, it was it was an awful nightmare. Uh, it was an end-of-the-world train wreck. Yes, it was awful. Um, but today is a little bit different. The dream I'm analyzing in this episode was one that I had just recently. Um, it was very uplifting and inspiring, and I hope that you all get some enjoyment out of it too. This one is very calming and meditative in nature. So if you haven't already done so, go ahead and just pause the episode and go grab yourself a cup of warm tea, too. And with that, let's take a moment to settle down and unwind in today's reading. Hanging on a star. Inhale. Exhale. I am alone now. There is nowhere I'm needed except to be here for myself in this moment. I feel a sense of calm wash over me as I take another deep breath and relax into my sitting position. All around me is at peace. My body is at rest in no pain. I am in a mindful state. I breathe in peace and exhale through my third eye. A feminine celestial spirit is projected from my third eye. Her form is only an outline, but it's filled with a pink blanket of stars and swirling galaxies. I can still sense myself, but somehow I also merge into the spiritual being. She grows, rising further out above the earth. While my feet are resting on the earth, my consciousness follows her bust that now lifts us beyond the atmosphere. Somehow, I am still connected to my feelings as a mere mortal, and she fills me with excitement and wonder. Lifting her heavenly arms, she reaches for a golden thread. Through a pulley, the line draws a sun-like star towards us. It glows brighter and more intense the closer it gets. I feel comforted and encouraged by her gaze toward me. Then I close my third eye, and with my next breath I wake up. End reading. Okay, so this is a very different reading. A very different reading from last time. Um but I'll go ahead and get right into what I kind of identified with. I've got kind of a treat for you today because I did elements like I normally do for this dream, but I also did some tarot cards. So that'll be something new for folks to um get to experience. So getting right into the elements. A major component of this dream begins and ends with meditation. In dreams, meditating represents self-acceptance and enlightenment. Also, when you see your own eyes, it represents enlightenment, understanding, and intellectual awareness. Subconscious thoughts may surface. Also, um, just a fun fact: if you notice your left and your right eye, those are symbolic of the moon and the sun, respectively. But to dream that you have a third eye symbolizes inner vision, insight, instinct, or some kind of psychic ability. Likely the appearance and use of my third eye stems from my quest to develop more inner awareness. In part, it's because I use this podcast as a dream journal. And the work I accomplished through this podcast, Cup of Terrific, uh, it's essential in maturing my character and also for growing my intuitive abilities. For as long as I can remember, I've relied heavily upon my intuition to understand the world around me. Okay, as I've learned just recently, I just wanted to add in here there are actually a few different types of the clairs for um for clarity. I'm just gonna say there's clairvoyance, claire cognizance, um, claire audience, claire sentience, clairgustance, claire alience, claire empathy, and there's also uh claire tangents, um, which is the ability to touch something and see something. These are all the different senses. Um, some people also say claire intellect is another one of the clairs, and there might be more out there depending on who you talk to. Um, but I was just referencing my work from National Spirits Day, Spiritual Day. Which are all classified as ESP, which stands for extrasensory perception. Many folks will just simply say that uh someone is a psychic if they have these gifts. I wouldn't say that I'm a psychic because I believe we all have intuition and we could choose to develop it like other skills that we have. But I am motivated to develop mine because my intuitive experiences have helped shape who I am, and I want to continue using my experiences to help those around me. The next elements I picked up on were in seeing the spirit form that's covered in stars and galaxies. Um, this could represent a connection with my higher self and reaching my maximum potential. The dark, vast, unknown sky bridges the conscious with the unconscious. Colors represent energy, emotions, and vibes. And her form was mostly pink, a color that's often used to represent joy or love, sweetness, happiness, affection, and um even kindness. The pink was also pastel, which is indicative of subtlety. Um, but it acted like this beautiful backdrop for bright stars and swirling galaxies. So um bright colors are meant to draw our awareness, which makes me think that this uh spirit form was trying to draw my awareness to her kindness and um the joy that the spirit brings me. Finally, dark colors represent passion and intensity, and there's nothing like the darkness of space. Yet the way the spirit just calmly faced it, it brought me comfort and enabled me to embrace the joy that she was radiating while she was out there in it. Noticing planet Earth also signifies wholeness and global consciousness. You are interconnected with the world. Also, seeing your feet symbolizes your foundation, stability, and sense of understanding. The awareness of my feet grounded to the earth fills me with a sense of connection to my body and other living things. Um, this is especially important to consider in the context of the dream, because if I had just experienced leaving the earth completely, I definitely don't think I would have felt that connection anymore. And it would have produced a very scary environment for me. It completely would change the overall message of this dream. But moving on to the actions of the spirit, drawing the sun on a golden thread upon a pulley. A thread symbolizes your life path and destiny. It also represents a connection to your thoughts and ideas. The golden color reflects a spiritual reward, and it also signifies your determination and unyielding nature. The sun symbolizes peace of mind, enlightenment, and insight. It also represents radiant energy and divine power. Generally, the sun is a good omen, especially if the sun's shining in your dream. To use a pulley, though, is a sign you cannot burn bear some burden in your own life. So I think the pulley is a metaphor for both the fear and hope I'm forced to place in exterior sources. It's hard to ask for help. Often this is true because for me, I don't even know what help I need to ask for. But the spirit, she uses this pulley with very little consideration at all. It's simply a tool she uses to employ for her work. Like the spirit, I should remember to have a little faith. Everything's gonna work out. Certain things are just meant to be, and others are outside of our control, and sometimes completely out of our influence. And you know what? There really is a sense of relief that comes with accepting that. Okay, so this next section is a little bit different from what I've done before, but I'm trying something else. I wanted to add uh a new segment to the podcast, and it includes Tarot. But just want to add like a brief background background on tarot for you. It's been around for many, many, many years, um, and it's helped folks all over the world make sense of their world. Just to reiterate again, though, I don't claim to hold any kind of supernatural power or ability, but I do think there exists a lot of potential value and understanding the archetypes of each card in the tarot. Okay, another little note here. Um, I'm using the writer weight deck as the basic reference to use during this podcast. And um, this is the uh I use this because it's usually the most commonly used one and it's it's recommended most often for those who start with the tarot. Um this deck is the one that has 22 major arcana cards and 56 minor arcana cards for a total of 78 cards. Uh, just to kind of give you an idea, the major arcana cards cover major life events, and minor arcana cards are like the court card uh court cards, if you will, and they represent more like everyday type matters that one would experience in their life. Um, each of these cards in the write or wait deck has a commonly understood meaning and ideas associated with them, and there are other cards out there, other decks of cards that exist. And just for sake of clarity, I just wanted to let you know which deck of cards I was using for this podcast when recording. Drawing cards and reading their meaning helps me to think about situations and dreams that I've had in an exterior way. I find it very similar to talking with a friend, except you get to connect with the collective unconscious for that conversation instead of an individual person. Often folks use um a past, present, and future draw regarding a question or a situation for their tarot reading. However, for this dream, I decided to again use that three-card draw, but I'm interpreting it in the three-card setup as a supporting main and trajectory card. For the first card and the supporting card, I selected the world. Um, the world card is represented by the earth in my dreams, so that's where I pulled that from. As a card, the world represents someone who's glowing with a sense of wholeness, achievement, fulfillment, and completion. I'm excited and prepared to accept my first retirement soon. So, of course, I'm reflecting on how far I've come and those I've helped along the way and those who've helped me. Also, I started this podcast and it's been a long-held dream of mine. So now I'm finally getting it started, and I'm so full of so many feelings, um, mostly good ones, though. Um, and I do feel that this is something that has deep meaning and purpose to me. So it is giving me a sense of wholeness and achievement. I'm also reflecting on the journey that has led me here, and I'm growing a sense of awareness about myself and drawing out spiritual meaning from those experiences along my journey. I've faced many challenges, passing sometimes as the victor and sometimes through defeat, but I'm always gaining something on the other side, and this keeps me calm in the moment and always looking forward to the next adventure. Additionally, um, the world card has another meaning. It can represent travel, especially like long-distance travel or time frame kind of travel, meaning long time frames. It reinforces universal understanding and global awareness. And I naturally look forward to connecting with others and building out a collective understanding with them. For the main card that I pulled, um, I selected the star. I picked this card because of the all the stars that um were covering all over the place on this dream. I mean, the spirit was made up of them. Um, she also lifted up into space, and of course, there are many, many more stars in space. And then there's a star-like element to the sun, of course, which she drew with the golden thread. The star card, though, it it follows the tower card. The the tower card is like supposed to be like an you know, the all-out tragedy, everything is lost and in ruined card. It represents, you know, the worst possible scenario has happened. Um, but right after that card is the star. And the star is a welcome reprieve after a period of destruction and turmoil. And like I said earlier, I've had quite a bit of difficulty and a challenging road up to this point. But underneath it all, I know I'm a good person, regardless of the things that's happened to me. Um, perhaps this is because I know that there's a divine presence that lives within me. And I'm talking about your spiritual self, um, the one for which so many different people follow a myriad of different religions. Um, I feel connected to it and it's full of love and grace, and it helps to guide me through my life. It invigors a sense of hope and a sense of blessings. Also, in the dream in meditation, I show that I'm actively seeking mental stability and understanding. With my third eye open, I sense the blessings of the universe and the magic that's in flow around me. Nothing is impossible. Dreams do come true, and hearts are made whole. This is how I see the world in my dreams, and it feels so wonderful to see that true. I feel transformed after the meditation, so much so I feel it when I wake up. I'm so full of inspiration and joy that I think I could fill everyone around me with it. My dedication to dream analysis and interpretation deepens. And if I can feel this much positivity while sleeping, perhaps there is a way that I can share it with others and then make it multiply. The final card that I pulled the trajectory card, it's the sun. I picked this card out because of the sunlight star that the spirit drew forth from the gold with a golden thread. The sun radiates abundance and success. It's a card that is meant that um it spills warm energy and vibes out to all it can reach. I feel so satisfied and joyful. I want to keep that going and find others like me who understand the value of dream analysis. Maybe I've gone through some tough things recently, but hey, who hasn't? Pretty much anyone I've connected with recently has expressed how concerned they are with the way things are going in their lives, and even the world. But the sun card, it reminds us that it won't last forever. And the sunshine, it'll come back again. Just like the earth. We go through seasons, changes. So here's looking to the positive turn, folks. Let's plan to speak that into existence. Let the sunlight in. And you know what? Maybe you are the sunshine for someone else. And if that's the case, or there is even a chance, it might be true. Go ahead and let your warm, invigorating charms burst forth. And don't forget to enjoy life, even in this moment, right now. Thank you again for coming to today's podcast. I wanted to add how thankful I am to have finally made it to that retirement and having started a brand new career. Yay! And also, thank you all for coming and being here with me. I am so excited. Also, I wanted to announce that very soon I will have some expert guests on the podcast who will be discussing dreams and nightmares. Um, and they are doctors in their own right. Um, and they have created oracle decks and use those for therapy. You will not want to miss some of their questions and interviews. That's gonna be exciting. But until then, stay thirsty, my friends, and may your cups overflow.
